Description

This image comes from the third group of the session done 2023-01-29 composed by 122 frames started 5:05am and ended 6:35am.

As explained in the last publication, the second session had to be divided in three subgroups for be able to stack them due to the repositioning of the scope as the comet was moving very fast. This included also a flip.

It was done a base stars stack and comet stack in DSS but also In the process of this group was incorporated a new workflow on Siril Stack comet that bring more detail in the comet as is able to stack starless frames of it suggested by Rich on his Deep Space Astro channel. Then after was blended both results and the star base. The new updated version of Siril there is another way to do this but need some adjustment for Windows 10 users, seems there is some problems, and I did not get in the new version yet not sure how is now the new approach in stack frames comet in Siril.

Maurizio did another session a couple of days later to this comet but are not yet processed as I'm trying to finish other projects before getting back to a comet target again.

It is interesting how the tail in this last group present other characteristic different to the two previous ones that only was done half an hour before this. Also the background changed bring in nice stars.

Thanks for visiting us and Hope you like this work.
Best wishes to all and Clear Skies.
